Jesse Ryan Fett, 39, Minot, is charged in district court in Ward County with Class C felony burglary, Class A misdemeanor criminal mischief and Class B misdemeanor theft.

According to court documents, Fett is accused of breaking into a southeast Minot apartment complex laundry room, tampering with the laundry machines and stealing quarters from them on Feb. 11.

Fett was on supervised probation for another offense at the time. A search of his vehicle turned up a backpack containing a cordless drill, drill bits and a bolt cutter. A padlock had been cut on the side of one of the machines and the primary lock had been drilled out, causing permanent damage.

In another case, Fett is charged with Class A misdemeanor stalking a woman in July and August. According to court documents in that case, Fett allegedly followed the woman on one occasion when she was driving, tried to get her to pull over and tried to throw a baggie into her vehicle that he claimed contained illegal drugs. He also allegedly broke one key fob for her vehicle, stole another and set off her car alarm while she was at work. On another occasion, he allegedly followed her car very closely and kept honking at her. She also told police she had received frequent unwanted phone calls and text messages from Fett. His behavior also allegedly prompted a lockdown at the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Minot on Sept. 9.

Fett was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charges on Tuesday before Judge Stacy Louser.
