NY Giants QB Daniel Jones will fly back ahead of the team, with head athletic trainer Ronnie Barnes to a specialist on his neck at Hospital for Special Surgery Monday
The NY Giants are staying in Los Angeles Sunday night, following a blowout loss to the Chargers at SoFi Stadium Sunday afternoon, but Daniel Jones will be flying home ahead of the team.
Jones, sidelined for the second consecutive week due to a neck injury, will be accompanied by Giants head athletic trainer Ronnie Barnes, as Jones is set to see Dr. Frank Cammisa from the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan on Monday.
It seems the NY Giants are leaving no stone unturned when it comes to Jones’ prognosis, as Cammisa is the Chief Emeritus of the Spine Service at HSS.
Additionally, Jones will undergo an MRI on his neck Monday, NY Giants head coach Joe Judge said during the FOX broadcast of Sunday’s game.
Despite being a limited participant during the NY Giants’ practices last week in Tuscan, Ariz., Jones was not cleared for contact prior to Sunday’s game. Barnes and Jones previously saw a specialist to examine Jones’ neck Monday in Los Angeles.
Jones has been out ever since injuring his neck during the NY Giants’ 12 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium.
